24 Oct Rain on the roof – Saturday evening mini break
It is pouring rain and I am sitting under the pergola at Chotto Motto in the cool spring air.
It is lovely to be here, listening to the rain on the roof and it makes me want to travel to Japan. Maybe in the spring when the blossoms are out.
I need to build my courage. People talk about travelling solo, and I haven’t been overseas for quite a long time and I feel vulnerable to the stress of it.
I ate a Yuzu Tapioca dessert, which I can’t really afford, but it is worth it to get out of the house for some fresh air and stimulation, perhaps.
I rode my bike here, but found that the back tire is flat so I am going to buy an inner tube and take it to Second Chance Cycles with my bike to ask them to repair it.
The Yuzu Tapioca was quite tasty with coconut yoghurt, tapioca, toasted, flaked coconut and Yuzu jam.
It is definitely a good mini break from that cooped up feeling that can come on muggy Saturdays in the midst of a medication drop!
