06 May Winter songs to warm the cockles and your soul
It is cold and rainy outside. It is the time of year when taking refuge in a cafe or restaurant with a fire, eating a hearty meal and drinking red wine is a wonderful sensory experience. Winter songs have a way of warming the soul from the inside too. Listening to warm music in the autumn or winter can make the room feel a little cosier when the wintry winds and rain howl outside.
To that end I have started curating my 2026 edition of winter music

It would probably be a good idea to combine these into one winter songs mix. . . Maybe that will be my project this winter! It also can be nice to remember an era in time by the winter songs that I was listening to that year. So, perhaps that is a reason to keep the individual seasons separate as well.
There really is nothing nicer than listening to warm music when it is wintry outside. Grab a cup of hot cacao or a glass of red wine and enjoy these songs that will warm the cockles of your soul.
