Bodriggy Brewery for Sunday lunch

Bodriggy Brewery for Sunday lunch

I am into it!

I have walked past this bar many times in my travels. It is the Bodriggy Brewery in Abbotsford on Johnston St directly across the train tracks from Dr Morse.

It always looks like a good vibe when I have walked past with big open windows in the front and lovely kind of porch seating outside and some refreshing greenery.

Sometime recently I checked out the menu of this Bodriggy bar and found a dish that I like the sound of – fish tacos. Today when I was contemplating what to eat for lunch, I was listening carefully to what my body wanted and it asked for tacos. So, I put two and two together and came up with my first visit to this brewery!

The funny thing is that I heard that it is owned by the same people who own Dr Morse, (as well as a couple of others), so I did have some high expectations!

It is very nice to sit in this window (inside in the shade) resting my soul on this beautiful weathered concrete stone ledge and with a garden in my view.

So nice also, to have a glass of wine with Sunday lunch. And the fish tacos were yummmm. I had them with a green salad first to get some enzymes and because the fish tacos were supposed to be a small dish (2 pc). They were not your average tacos, and delicious!

The thing that I am most looking forward to at Bodriggy is their Monday night Death by Tacos night. $5 tacos, $10 margis and $10 pints. You can’t go wrong! It would also be nice to try some of their other taco varieties.

With a view to the trains coming and going from Victoria Park station, and music that seems to be a 70s/modern rock and punk vibe I get the feeling that I will come here again! 🙂
