07 Jan Over the tracks of time – Melbourne trains
Of all the things I love about Melbourne, tonight I feel like the trains are the thing I love the most.
It is so comforting after an expansive adventure, to climb into one of the carriages on my dear platform at Flinders Street. The cheerful familiarity of the interior, the route, and the motion of the train brings me back to myself.
On the trip out, I am excited for an adventure. On the way home, it is the comforting feeling of being transported to the soothing familiarity of home.
