18 Jul Cost of living on a Friday night
The music is still good!
I am at Dr Morse. I considered coming here (or somewhere) for dinner, but $34 or $37 for a meal feels just so exorbitant, given that I would need a drink on top of that.
i would prefer to have a drink and buy ingredients for something yummy to eat at home. The funny thing is that I just bought ingredients for two dinners, maybe ten breakfasts and snacks and it cost me about the same as one meal out.
so, yes, I will sit here and sip on my overpriced glass of Pinot. They want to sell me another one. They don’t even have happy hour any more.
hell, I am tired of the motivation behind every interaction in the world of hospitality. ‘Give us your money! More of it!’ It is a disgrace.
in any case my cost of living post is not very positive so maybe it is one for my own personal records.
