Wholesome exhaustion – a bush walk

We went on another bush walk today. This time in the Beowa National Park near Haycocks Point.

The scent of the bush was so delicious, and the sounds. . . my goodness. The waves crashing on the shore, the wind through the leaves, the sounds of birds, and frogs. I loved the experience of letting my gaze wander amongst the scrub under the canopy of the coastal bush.

The path wound its way to a beach on the southern side of Pambula River Mouth.

It was a wonderful sense of physical exertion. And I feel tired in such a wholesome way now. It is not like I haven’t walked 10,000 steps many times before. Maybe there is just something about the physical experience of walking that kind of distance in the bush, that makes the tiredness so clean.
