10 Jul Hottest 100 of Australian Songs – Triple J

My question to you today is – have you voted in the Hottest 100 of Australian Songs yet?

Triple J is putting this on. The countdown will happen on July 26th, (that is a Saturday), from 10 AM, and voting closes at 5 pm on Thursday July 17th.

It is a big undertaking, so I suggest you get busy VERY quickly, , , (if you haven’t begun already!)

There are SO MANY AMAZING Australian songs and artists and going through the list is both a wonderful trip down memory lane and a lovely test of your musical literacy!

I am up to the letter ‘M’ of bands that are eligible for the countdown.

It is good to finally see The Cat Empire on one of these Hottest 100 lists, and I was so excited to see Friendly in the nominations with two songs – i love you, but and the Some Kind of Love Song, even though I doubt I will be able to add these to my Hottest 100 of Australian Songs playlist. (The playlist is definitely a WORK in progress (as always with these countdowns, but I am looking forward to playing it a lot over the next six days so that I can work out how the hell to narrow this list down to 10 songs!!))
