20 Jun What fun! What a crowd! What a comedian!! :-D
Littlefoot!
I had such a nice trip here. My Uber driver and I had so much in common and my trip to Footscray got him so much closer to home.
Little Foot is a bar in Footscray. Footscray is such a vibrant suburb. . I always love coming here, even if it is a little harder to get to.
the lights. The ethnic diversity. And in this amazing venue tonight – the neurodiversity!!
And that was my first impression of the bar.
The gig was intimate. . . Thomas was a riot. I loved his stories about his crush on his physiotherapist, (who was actually THERE!!), Hah! (I could relate 😉 )
The questions from the audience after his performance were wonderful too. Josephine asked about ‘independence’ because the event was hosted by Independence Australia. She also asked Thomas some of his favourite places to travel, which was a wonderful question, and precipitated interesting stories from his friend about how when Thomas travels, everyone is buying him drinks.
I loved being surrounded by other neurodiverse people and others with disabilities. It felt like a safe and vibrant space to be in. It made it obvious to me how colourful and rich the neurodiverse and disability community is. Go well!!!
