The Penguin Lessons staring Steve Coogan and directed by Peter Cattaneo was a wonderfully touching movie. Set in 1976 in Argentina, the story follows the relationship between an English teacher and a penguin.
Movies with animals as main characters have a way of building emotional depth and empathy. This film, based on a true story left me feeling sad in a happy way. It was wonderful! All the better for the glimpses of actual footage from 1976 and the history lesson.
Awesome acting, amazing story, quality cinema. 🙂 I loved it!
