All my soul wants to do today is to soak in the Australian bush. I think we can all agree that our natural spaces are places of beauty and wonder. To that end, I went for an adventure to the Yarra Bend, to explore places in the bush and soak up the sounds, sights and smells of our Country.
I also read more about First Nations history and culture. It feels like a positive thing to do on this day of mourning. I can relate to this emotional quality today.
It would be nice if we could have a day that included everyone in the celebration of our nation. For me, being close to nature, and listening to First Nations music and reading their stories is my way of marking this day.
