15 Jun NGV Nights – Pharaoh opening night
The buzz of the city on a Friday after work. Sitting in a bar outside drinking a beer before I go and meet my friends at NGV nights.
The Egyptian music is divine in the Great Hall tonight.
It was fun to go to NGV After Dark. It was the opening night of Pharaoh, and we had some fun.
The exhibition was pretty incredible. To think that the whole Egyptian period lasted more than 3000 years, which is more than the time since AD. And what will we have to show for 3000 years of civilisation after that? Seas of plastic? A barren, hot and uninhabited Earth?
Joseph Tawadros played on the stage in the Great Hall in short sets through the evening. His Arabic music was very uplifting.
