09 Jun Rising Melbourne in winter – the audio edition
Yay! I am excited about an adventure on this chilly winter evening. We are headed to the Yarra to listen to an audio installation that is being performed there. It is part of Melbourne’s winter RISING Festival.
The first thing we did was to pop a bottle of bubbles. We were in an alcohol-free zone near Federation Square, but we didn’t let that stop us.
Our friend was late, and we heard some of the audio over the buildings calling us to the Yarra. When we walked to the river there was no visual focus, and it felt like we were walking away from the sound, so we walked back up to Fed Square.
My friend and I agreed that Rising is usually a pretty poor festival. Each time we have been it has been disappointing.
We sat there and drank the rest of our bubbles. The light art on the Fed Square buildings was nice! And then went to Chocolate Buddha for dinner.
It was a real treat. The food was absolutely scrumptious. And we had a great time.
My energy was quite ‘off’all night, and this was partially hormones, but also I think a result of a toxic online relationship.
After dinner, we checked out an Indigenous menu nearby then walked up to the tram stops and got on our way home.
