16 Apr Autumn red wine and comedy
Although all the seasons in Melbourne have a lot of personality (and each one has lovable qualities), my favourite season in Melbourne might be winter (or autumn).
I love the coziness of it. Especially when the clocks turn back and I start drinking red wine again. Each year the ritual feels so rich and decadent.
On a gloomy, cold Friday afternoon it feels like tea and warm banana bread is the thing rather than throwing all my hands up, taking off some inhibitions and celebrating the party vibes of summer.
The comedy festival is perfect for this time of year, warming our souls with the rumble of laughter in various cosy venues across the city. I have really enjoyed it so far, and think I may have space for four more shows.
