It is not such a bad situation, to be sitting outside at a bar in Flemington, waiting for my client to get her hip treated by her physiotherapist.

The sun is back out in Melbourne this afternoon after a very convincing dump of rain this morning. So, it is nice to sit outside with a glass of mineral water and bitters and watch the world go by.

I don’t know Flemington very well, but I have visited a suburb nearby called Kensington a few times. And I like the scale of this little pocket of Flemington. It feels cosy and human scale. There is also a lot of greenery and some beautiful parkland on the way from the city.

The Pin Oak Beer and Wine bar is really nice. It kind of feels like you are walking into someone’s living room with the walls adorned with different bottles of wine and a bar at the back.

It is definitely a nice way to start the evening part of my day. And a quick 13 minute drive from Melbourne city!
