Is songwriting an emotional outlet?

I think I need to start making music so that I have some way to express all these BIG BIG feelings, hehe. A blog never seems to work, so maybe music would be a good alternative! Artists do seem to express their feelings that way!

What do you do with your feelings? Is it just me? How to express them all!!??

Spotify actually has a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) called Soundtrap. I started to use it during the summer holidays last year, but I kept getting stuck in a loop. It was fun doing all the research to learn about music though, in order to try and create songs. Maybe I will jump back into it over the weekend. I need another outlet!!

I was actually considering doing an Abelton course here in Melbourne from late September, but when I listened to the teacher’s music, I decided not to enrol. It just didn’t inspire me. I didn’t want to learn his techniques.

Do you play an instrument? My brother suggested that I buy a keyboard and play along with songs that I like. I nearly did it too, but I got dissuaded by some of those external psychotic signals. I have to save up for a graphic design/photography/video/Instagram course that I want to do, but maybe once I have done that I will save up for a keyboard. It might be fun.
