15 Aug Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Into My Arms
I am definitely showing my age a bit here, but I suddenly remembered Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds today. They were popular when I was in high school, and I was swept up in the wave, but kind of lost connection with him over the years of ensuing electronic, pop and hip-hop music. My earworm this morning was Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Into My Arms.
The music itself is a bit depressing, and a bit triggering for me, personally given past events in my life. Particularly the song Where the Wild Roses Grow featuring Kylie Minogue.
Who calls an album ‘Murder Ballads’?? How is that even okay?
The biggest song that was around when I was listening to the album Let Love In was Red Right Hand.
It is an okay song, I guess. Pretty dark and depressing. I can see how I would totally forget about Nick Cave over the years, even though some of my friends of the same age do still listen to him.
These songs are not for me.
