09 Jul Peninsula Hot Springs reviews
It is always fun to do something completely new, but I didn’t quite know what to expect at the Peninsula Hot Springs. It came highly recommended. And I wanted to add to the rest of the Peninsula Hot Springs reviews. In a quick summary, it is a wonderful experience, which will impact your health positively for days to come.
We arrived at the spa centre at around 2 pm. It can take a little time to orient yourself, and the navigation can be confusing.
Friday 4:00 pm
Stepping out of that beautiful warm hot spring pool into the cold, winter air was quite a shock. But the feeling passes and I am left with a lovely sensation of having imbibed the minerals in the hot springs.
There are hotter baths, too. I have taken a break at the cafe for a glass of wine, but finding my friends in the warmer pool is tempting. I want to explore more. It is a beautiful, natural wonderland of pathways and pools and spaces through nature. And there is always a first time! It is such an adventure.
The spring water feels very rejuvenating. There are minerals in the water, which comes from underground aquifers. And presumably, it soaks through the skin to make us feel so incredibly relaxed.
Friday 5:20 pm
It is pretty indulgent. Take a bath, come out into the cold air, dry off, have a drink and repeat. The hot springs are a wonderful maze to explore. And I can feel the goodness soaking into my skin.
It is glorious.
And then dinner.! We are here to celebrate a good friend’s birthday. It is a very special occasion. And the perfect way to celebrate her life so far.
Friday 8 pm
This is heaven. I am so happy that I didn’t chicken out from the cold. We retreated to our host’s glamping tent and had a wonderful finger food dinner and then came back to one of the warmer pools, located up the hill (the heat rises). At night, the light from the amphitheatre is so lush and we can see the stars from the beautifully warm pool.
What I love doing is to soak for an hour or so and then come back to the cafe to cool down a bit. And have a drink and come back to myself for a little while. They sell wine at the cafe too and it makes for a wonderful break.
It is such a memorable evening. Perfect for a special birthday or celebration. We were there for it. It was such a lovely memory. I think my friend is enjoying herself too.
There is a first time for everything. Take the advice of the Peninsula Hot Springs reviews and make the trip yourself! We stayed over the weekend after the experience, in a nearby suburb, because apparently, it can be a bit of a grind to have to drive back to Melbourne after feeling so relaxed and wonderful from the springs.
Finally, when I get cold again on this wintry night I can go back to the 39-degree hot pool and soak in the sulphur mineral water once more. What a glorious evening!
