09 Mar The Garden of Unearthly Delights – Adelaide
I am embarrassed to say that this is the first time I have ever been to Adelaide. It is worth the wait though. What a vibrant and amazing city! When I set out to explore, with nothing but a glass of wine and some dinner on my mind, I felt like I needed to keep walking until I reached a natural ‘destination’. The Garden of Unearthly Delights was just the kind of climax to my meanderings that I was hoping for.
How amazing!
How absolutely beautiful.
I don’t think I have seen any kind of outdoor event space so well designed, so entertaining and filled with wonderful things to see, eat, drink, do and hear! Wandering through the garden in search of dessert was an intensely memorable experience. Past carnies spruiking their 15-minute comedy slots, a giant Ferris Wheel, and a beautiful array of bars and food trucks. It was sublime.
As the ‘destination’ for my first ever evening in Adelaide, The Garden of Unearthly Delights was mesmerising.
And it seemed apt to me to have a dance floor tucked in between the trees in this garden. It was filled with people dancing and the music was so fun and so danceable.

Come to Adelaide in March and you could experience it too!

Posted at 19:37h, 15 MarchYass!! Adelaide Fringe is on at the moment. WOMAdelaide was last weekend. It looked like there were some good acts playing too. Apparently Adelaide swells to 1 million people during Mad March and then everyone leaves, and it feels sooooo sleepy.
I am hoping that Krapp’s Last Tape comes to Melbourne after its run in Adelaide this year. Sounds like a pretty cool play!!
