01 Mar Triangle of Sadness review
If you haven’t seen Triangle of Sadness yet, I would highly recommend that you do so. It is such a great movie! This Triangle of Sadness review will aim to avoid any spoilers, and just give you a sense of just how excellent this movie is.
I had heard other people speak favourably of the Triangle of Sadness movie, particularly my neighbour, who has great taste and said that she had heard it was very funny. It didn’t start out that way, but as the plot thickened, there were definitely some incredibly hilarious moments watching the uber-rich and entitled suffer in the most human of ways.
There were some interesting themes in the movie. One of the ones that struck me the most, was an exploration of power dynamics between both males and females and rich and poor. It was interesting to see these balances shift in different situations. I would also recommend paying attention to the titles before the fashion catwalk show at the beginning of the film. The first title mentioned climate change, and this became for me, one of the most important points that the film made.
The film gave me a lot to think about. And in 147 minutes, it never got boring. I came away feeling like I knew more about human psychology and sociology than when I went into the film.
It is definitely a good one!
