12 Apr The road hump of privilege on a vibrant Friday
What is happening in Collingwood on a vibrant, brisk Friday night? The streets are alive with people and light. There is a festive, rich feeling in the air. And red wine deepens the tone, adds a smoky depth to the experience of a bustling cafe on Smith Street.
I am drinking a glass of Pinot Noir and eating pasta at Alimentari. I should be checking my privilege – at the suggestion of a comedy show I saw last night. Definitely. My question is: what am I actually doing about it? Since there is a palpable difference between the haves and have nots in this world.
It is too big a problem for a Friday night glass of wine. I am acutely aware though, that my belly is full and my heart is warm with red wine. If I can turn this project into a user experience project, I will do it!
