29 Sep Birthday parties on a balcony – in a beautiful city
My evening was a feast of the senses. First, a 180 degree view of Port Melbourne from a coast facing balcony on the fifth floor. Absolutely amazing 🙂
Beers, sparkling, espresso martinis (not for me though, I would be climbing the walls), cheese and nice conversation.
Then another view out over the harbour, with lights and accompanied with Pinot Gris, nice company and a nice seafood filled fettuccine. It was so delicious. Scallops, mussels, calamari, prawns.
Did I mention the wine? And chocolate cake. 🙂
One of the best parts of my evening though was the trip home. The tram driver commentated the whole way from Port Melbourne. He was quite a character. 🙂
It makes me feel a sense of belonging when, no matter what team you barracked for this season, it is all about Victoria winning over South Australia. Maybe I will go and watch the game somewhere 🙂 It might be fun!
I love Melbourne so much. It is so rich, and beautiful. People are nice. It is a good life.
