27 Jun succulents, resplendent in the brisk winter air
I happened across this plant on my morning walk. It is getting really rather chilly in Melbourne now! The air feels brisk and bracing when I step out in the mornings. Maybe the winter solstice really does mark the start of winter as is customary in the northern hemisphere and Asian cultures, rather than mid-winter in Australian culture.
Winter is a lovely season. So cosy and atmospheric. Red wine, the inside of cafes and roasted vegetables. I felt so lucky to see this plant on my walk! It brightened my day. I am supposing that it doesn’t look like much to you. It is just a plant. But in the context of where I found it, and the delight that it inspired in my heart at the time, I want to post it here. 🙂
