Finding an angle – people are interesting

By | April 14th, 2019|interesting people, radio, school|

My weekend had a lot of 'space' in it. This was actually a very nice thing and I got to do a lot of what stirs my soul, but it felt weird, because what I was supposed to be doing was editing an audio interview that is due on Monday (tomorrow). It is a lot [...]

Thando live – Sunset sounds – City of Stonnington

By | January 14th, 2019|friends, interesting people, music, parks and gardens, relationships|

Sunset Sounds was superb yesterday. We were lucky enough to nab a picnic spot, close enough to the stage, so that we could hear and see the band(s) very well. We saw two bands - The Meltdown and Thando. Both were really brilliant! It was especially exciting to hear that Thando and her partner (the [...]

An alien chemical fire – Back to the Start – Monarchy

By | January 14th, 2019|cinema, interesting people, music, physical theatre|

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOZhFf_Jc9g 'Back to the Start' from Monarchy was released on video in the past few days. The first time I watched it, I considered it an insult of sorts to the girl (Celia Sastre). However, on second and subsequent viewings, I became interested in what Ra and Andrew were teaching this, obviously, alien girl about [...]

By | May 12th, 2018|architecture, design, interesting people, technology|

Melbourne Knowledge Week is the best! Last night we went to a talk at the MKW Hub. It is an amazing space, filled with light art, beautiful ferns and sculptures. By | May 7th, 2018|daily life, interesting people, relationships, school|

It is very tempting to open my heart a little and share some of my feelings, hehe. I won't, because it is not reciprocated, but I would like to, hehe. I am in the mood where I want to turn to some lovely boy in my kitchen and say: 'Would you like a drink?' It [...]

The people that I associate with – Jam Jar

By | May 2nd, 2018|daily life, interesting people, professional|

There is something about the people that you associate with, enriching your life and lifting you up. My quality of life has definitely improved a lot since I started working at Jam Jar, but it is more than that. It is spending time with people who are used to the finer things in life. There [...]

Handmaid’s Tale – spoiler alert

By | January 22nd, 2018|bullshit, cinema, interesting people, literature|

I finished the first season of the Handmaid's Tale last night. It was an intense mixture of horror and uplifting inspiration. Such a great, creative story. And I loved the ending. I loved the audacity. I loved leaving that family completely barren. Dystopian fiction can be very interesting.
