Dear Mr Knightley – Katherine Reay

By | December 28th, 2017|interesting people, journal, literature, Turtle|

I am reading a very interesting book - Dear Mr Knightley, about a woman who is studying journalism and writing letters to an anonymous man, in return for him funding her education. She writes to him and purges her soul, the difference being, that he responds to her words, if not in letters, then in [...]

So lucky to live here – beautiful evening

By | November 29th, 2017|architecture, cinema, design, parks and gardens, weather|

So incredibly grateful right now. I only had to wait 20 minutes for a bus and it is 11:30 pm on a Wednesday night. So amazing. This little strip is one of my favourite in Melbourne. It is Lygon St in Carlton. So leafy and vibrant and lush.

Hurricane – Sarah McCleod

Beautiful music! This song - Hurricane is really full of soul. I am not a fan of all of Sarah McCleod’s stuff, but this is amazing. She really has an amazing repertoire of interesting and different sounds. It is highly entertaining. The Greatest Pretender! Is this rock and roll? That is what she calls herself. [...]

the most beautiful girl in the world

By | November 20th, 2017|bars and restaurants, daily life, friends, light art, literature, weather|

It is such a beautiful evening for sharing friendship. :-) I am so happy tonight. It is Mistress Butterfly's birthday. Work has become so enjoyable, and so incredibly productive, since I have signed up to a few new things, and getting out into the [...]

There is something fun about going for a cruise through my city, on an unusual kind of adventure. I have to get my ignition switch replaced, as there is a recall for this part on my car. They took their time finding the fault! Apparently it is at risk of starting a fire. Inside the [...]

Margaret Atwood – The Heart Goes Last

By | November 15th, 2017|interesting people, literature, technology|

Margaret Atwood is certainly an amazing story teller. I still have one episode left of the Handmaid's Tale, and that was fascinating. Dark, interesting, scary. The other day I found another one of her books in my library's ebook collection. The Heart Goes Last. It is another one of those dystopian stories that makes me [...]

Happy marriage equality day

By | November 15th, 2017|holidays, relationships|

Hooray!! It is a great time in Australian history. :-) I am so pleased that the Yes campaign won. We were scared, hehe, it is true. Trump, Brexit, One Nation. How many dickheads are in this country anyway? But for now, it is time to celebrate. It is such a great day! Someone at my [...]
